DevOps Engineer

Part-time, Contract

Location: Remote, USA

Position Overview

We're looking for a DevOps Engineer to join our team! You'll help design, maintain, and enhance our product's infrastructure and architecture, encompassing all phases from development to operational deployment.

Required Skills

• 2 years experience as a rower, coxswain, or rowing coach
• Comfort using the Linux command prompt and basic Linux knowledge
• Experience with Digital Ocean, AWS, or Azure Cloud Infrastructure
• Understanding of Git (branches, merging, commits, etc.)
• Experience writing and maintaining bash scripts
• Understanding of load balancers
• Familiarity with LDAP

Nice-to-have knowledge/skills

• Ability to read / write SQL queries
• Basic working knowledge of PHP

All of the nice-to-haves are exactly that... Nice to have. Knowledge or experience with these items is not required and will not be penalized in our selection process. We will train you on anything you don't have experience in.

Things you may do

• Creating new images of servers to use in auto-scaling load balancers
• Revamping deployment processes for multiple environments
• troubleshooting failed unit tests to check if they are a result of environment related issues vs code issues
• Managing LDAP servers for admin and enterprise users
• Monitoring the health of our servers, databases, and overall infrastructure 
• Writing bash scripts to automate different developer-related tasks

Compensation

$20-$25 per hour
